Pop Up Fire Station
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, in partnership with Rutland County Council and Leicestershire Police are hosting a free event for the community in Ryhall. Hosted by Oakham Fire station and LFRS the community event will be held on 23rd March 2020 at Ryhall village hall from 10 until 12 noon.
The pop up fire station is an exciting event for the whole community with the aim of bringing community services to rural parts of our community. The event is FREE and for any resident of Ryhall and surrounding villages.
The day will begin with a free breakfast and you will have the opportunity to speak to many agencies that operate in Rutland both statutory and voluntary. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided throughout the date.
As well as fire safety advise and winter safety vehicle checks, there will be information from VISTA, Turning Point for substance misuse, RAFA, Royal British Legion, Rutland Lions, Citizens Advice, Crime Stoppers, Ag UK, Trading Standards, Admiral Nurse, Longhurst Group and Rutland County Council Road Safety and Community Safety Teams.
Throughout the day, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service will be conducting home safety checks.
The aim of the event is to bring services to the villages of Rutland where rural isolation may play a part in people accessing services.
